Muin provides a caring and nurturing environment in which children’s skills are developed through a diverse range of activities, play and interaction with others. For ECCE, CSP and after school for national school students. Muin Is Tusla regulated as well as being members of Early Childhood Ireland. The service also takes part in The National Childcare Scheme.
A child centred play based curriculum and programme of activities is offered to each child, with particular emphasis on music and movement from our trained drama and musical teachers. We are also so lucky to have fully qualified art teacher on staff also.
The program uses the principles of Siolta ( the national framework for early childhood care and education) and Aistear (the early childhood curriculum framework as its guiding principles).
Our highly qualified and dedicated teachers aim to foster a love of learning in the children and to establish the foundations of literacy and numeracy in a fun, happy and structured environment.
The teacher/pupil ratio in the Pre-School is 1:11 and a maximum of 22 children attend each day ensuring that each child receives the individual attention he or she needs to flourish. The teacher/pupil ratio in the after school is 1:12 with a maximum of 22 children attending daily.
Our service is located in a dedicated building in the school, and closely linked with activities in The Green Rooms, because of this children enjoy music and stories daily as well as lego play, with The Green Rooms also being home to Super Stars Stage School and Kids Bricks Club. Children enjoy the use of Super Stars Stage School's large studio, g , equipped with stage, mirrors and barres (for music and play), stage (where the Pre-School performs its annual musical-play for parents), as well as their own classrooms, messy art room (where they can explore their creative side)
Muin students also have full access to Super Stars Acro and Gymnastics studio which is located next door!
